The Declining Winter & Fieldhead: 13 February

The Declining Winter

A return show by Leeds-based experimental seven-piece The Declining Winter, led by Richard Adams of the acclaimed and influential post-rock outfit Hood (Domino Records). Playing in support of new record Haunt The Upper Hallways, the group continue to define a sound that is uniquely theirs, exploring the largely unchartered territory between folk, dub, post-rock and abstract hip-hop.
“extends Hood’s late period exploration of gentle electronica, warping and glitching minimal folk-pop melodies. Autumnal and graceful.” – Uncut
Fieldhead

Fieldhead is the alias of Paul Elam, another Leeds dweller quietly pushing the boundaries of electronic music. His debut release, They Shook Hands For Hours, is a strange record that revels in surprise, its ambient cinematic drones driven by a lo-fi techno beats and a keen understanding of melody.
“Think Burial, circa 1920. Highly recommended.” – Boomkat
