“Riding With Lowell George: Music To Help You Try And Get Through”

We’re super-excited about theĀ  show at The Victoria tomorrow. A couple of years ago, Willy contributed to a great book called Hang The DJ: An Alternative Book Of Music Lists, a collection that featured compilations of songs and albums by authors, musicians and journalists.

Rather than being a straight up list, Willy’s songs soundtrack a week spent going off the rails:

Ten songs/albums to listen to when you’ve just split up with your violent girlfriend and you’re too broke to live anywhere but in a camping trailer in the backyard of your friend’s house. These are to get you through a week-long bender without thinking about your life.

You’ll have to pick up the book to read the story, but here’s the songs and albums it features, with handy Spotify links where available:

‘Once Upon A Time In The West’ – Ennio Morricone
