We Are Colour

Welcome to the online home of Colour, a West Midlands based promotions group. It’s an outlet for all our pent-up enthusiasm for the culture we love, so expect to find lots of gushing reviews and impassioned opinion.

We’ll also be posting about the events we’re putting on in the local area. Our focus is to promote left-field artists in intimate venues that compliment the Colour ‘ethos’. The artists involved – both musical and visual – have become part of the Colour community, and often return to perform with their other projects.

We hope you enjoy what we have to say. Expect to see many more features being added over the coming weeks.

Contributors

James Nash – James is an illustrator whose work has featured in Dazed and Confused, Plan B and Amelia’s Magazine. He’s also responsible for the strong visual identity of Colour. Probably the most sonically adventurous amongst us, with his love of the “melancholy and the angular”.

Matthew Andrews – Matt is an English graduate who doesn’t read or write nearly as much as he wishes he did. Tried writing about music way back when but is determined to nurture it into a habit this time. He manages a bar in Wolverhampton and loves to inflict his music tastes on unsuspecting customers.

Katie Spragg – Katie works for Light House in Wolverhampton. As the newest member of Colour, she brings substantial marketing knowledge to the table. She claims not to have a favourite anything.
